The Drama School Intensive

Are you a budding actor based in the North East with dreams of going to drama school? Perhaps you feel worried about the process and want to feel as ready as possible stepping into those audition rooms.
If so, The Drama School Intensive is for you!
The Drama School Intensive is an intensive week of training and workshops, to prepare aspiring actors in the North East for drama school auditions.
The Drama School Intensive will take place over five days, from Monday 4th to Friday 8th August 2025 at an accessible Newcastle based venue. Days will run from approximately 9 - 6pm (to give a feel of the drama school experience) and participants will work with experienced theatre practitioners in all elements of theatre to gain a better grasp of the tools they need for a future at drama school.
The project is being run by Sol Taibi, a recent graduate from Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Sol has run similar courses in school establishments across the UK but feels there is a huge lack for opportunities like this in the North East of England.
We want to make sure the course is as financially accessible as possible so that every person, regardless of their financial circumstances, gets a chance to take part. As a result, we are asking that participants pay a price reflective of their household income. In the form below, you will be given the option to choose the amount that reflects your income, or which you feel you can afford for the week*

In order to apply for The Drama School Intensive, you will need to:
Be based in Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, County Durham, Redcar and Cleveland or Middlesborough.
Aged 15+ from the 4th August 2025
Not currently hold a degree in the UK
Intend to apply for a full time BA Hons Acting degree or other creative degree in the future
